2023 Fashion Trends

Are we the only ones that are going into 2023 full of positivity? Over here we are all about the Lucky Girl Syndrome. You might be asking yourself – what the heck is Lucky Girl Syndrome? Have you heard the old saying, “Positive thoughts bring positive outcomes”? Lucky Girl Syndrome pretty much revolves around that; if we say positive things out loud they can, or will come into existence. I don’t know about you, but when I want to feel even better about myself, I express it in the way I dress. If my outfit is on point, then I almost know my day will be good. Can this be translated as Lucky Girl Syndrome? I sure like to think so! That being said, here are some of the fashion trends of 2023!

Barbiecore

Pantone’s 2023 Color of the Year is Viva Magenta. Between that and the highly anticipated Barbie movie coming out this summer, pink is going to be everywhere! “Barbie is inspired by pop culture and fashion. And like many of us, her style evolves to be reflective of today’s trends and culture,” said Kim Culmone, SVP of Design for Barbie. For the past 2 years, we’ve had the pandemic looming over us. 2023 is about breaking out of that dark shell and entering a bright world with bright colors! Step into almost any store and you’re bound to see a whole pink outfit.

Motocross Style

This next trend is almost completely opposite of Barbiecore. We saw Motorsport fashion race all through the Spring/Summer runways. From moto leather jackets to colored jumpsuits you’re sure to see some of these edgy trends from your favorite designers

Baletflats & Mary Janes

Two of the biggest shoe trends of 2023 are going back to the “early aughts”. Even though most of the 2023 trends are bright and fun, we are also seeing a lot of minimalist fashions, enter the Ballet Slipper and Mary Janes. Embrace your inner Blaire Waldorf with this trend.

Cargo Pants

Speaking of early aughts, this next trend is even more Y2K – Cargo Pants. But in 2023 these aren’t your basic camo or khaki cargos. It’s like your old cargos left their little home down in the middle of nowhere and moved to the big city and high fashion. We’re seeing cargos now come in all the colors and fabrics and new pocket placement. This trend might be a tough one to swallow, but we’re here for it!
